Career Coaching for Senior Professionals

Brendan Ward

We’re seeing a gap that often goes unspoken.

Senior professionals with disabilities with years of leadership and experience are still finding it difficult to secure their next role. Not because they lack capability, but because the system doesn’t always meet them at their level.

We’re doing something about that. We’re pleased to be partnering with Breandan Ward, a purpose-led senior executive, leadership coach, and disability inclusion strategist with over two decades of global experience spanning investment banking, consultancy, education, and social impact, to support a cohort of senior professionals with disabilities in navigating their next career move.

This is not entry-level support. It’s tailored, practical coaching for people who already bring significant experience.

Who should apply?

  • Persons with disabilities over 18
  • Management or senior-level professionals facing difficulties in their next career path

If you’re at that stage where you know you have more to offer but need the right support to get there, this is for you.

Participating in the Open Doors Initiative’s Career Coaching programme was a transformative experience, one that went far beyond CV edits or LinkedIn tweaks. From our first session, my coach brought a rare blend of strategic clarity and human warmth, helping me navigate a complex professional landscape with both structure and empathy. Together, we refined every element of my professional toolkit: from crafting a CV that truly reflected my strengths, to building a LinkedIn profile that felt both authentic and algorithm-savvy. I learned how to position my experience with confidence, how to tailor applications with precision, and how to speak to my value in ways that resonate across sectors. These were not just technical lessons, they were mindset shifts.
